First day experience: product is extremely well built and sturdy. Comfortable to wear for a long period as it weighs only 250gms. Pretty light weight headphones at this price segment. Compatibility: works really well with android flagships. Offers good customizations in sound connect app. Sound: Pretty much impressed by the sound quality and the ULT mode for bass which rattles at perfect EQ modes. Vocals are good. Clarity is good. For this price this is a overall balanced headphones. Go for skullcandy evo crushers 2 for only bass experience. Or else this is more than good as it matches almost everything. Battery: solid battery life as of now. Accessories: sturdy case to carry the headphones. overall a very good product for this price.
I’ve been using the Sony ULT Wear for a while now, and I’m genuinely impressed. The first thing you’ll notice is the excellent build quality. The materials feel premium, and both the ear cushions and headband cushions are extremely soft and comfortable, making them great for long listening sessions. The hard carrying case is another highlight. It’s well built, feels premium, and neatly accommodates the headphones, charging cable, and other accessories making it ideal for travel. The sound quality is outstanding. ULT 2 mode delivers deep, powerful bass without sacrificing clarity, and the vocals and instruments remain crisp and detailed. You can hear small details in songs that are easy to miss on ordinary headphones. The Sony Sound Connect app is one of the best companion apps I’ve used. It’s very user-friendly and lets you customize the EQ, ANC, touch controls, and many other settings according to your preference. The Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is excellent and blocks out a significant amount of background noise, making music much more immersive. The touch controls are intuitive and responsive. Playing or pausing music, skipping tracks, switching ANC modes, and other gestures become second nature after a short time. In my opinion,it’s hard to find another over ear headphone at this price that offers this combination of premium build quality, excellent comfort, powerful bass, great sound quality, effective ANC, and an outstanding app experience.
I had issues with the ldac. Obviously it tries too hard, can't keep the same bitrate consistently (990kbps). I'd recommend to switch to 660 kbps in developer settings, else you might find frequent disconnects. For the audio review: The bass decay is pretty slow, 40mm drivers take that time, but it's not bad, I think slow bass decay sounds more punchy and natural. It's supposed to replace XB series, people call it too bassy but it's not crazy bassy. If you want it to sound less bassy just use it at ULT 0 mode. ULT 1 is perfectly bassy (I love the extra V shaped engaging sound) ULT 2, not my type, it muddies every vocals and enhances bass and it doesn't even sound that good, maybe for some bass drop remix kind of tracks, it could be possibly suitable. ULT 0 - Balanced, sometimes misses when you expect that bass kick. ULT 1 - Bass IN! Very engaging. ULT 2 - Too bassy destroys vocals (mids) I love the ULT button, all you need to do is just a click and you can potentially move between bassy(ULT 1)/Balanced(ULT 0) according to your tracks. (Overall 4.8/5.0) Mids. It's a V shaped sound signature. Not the best mids, but female vocals sound excellent, some male vocals sound muddy, but they do not sound bad at all. (Overall: 4.5/5) Highs: The thing about this headphone is that, they have the ULT configuration, but even though the Bass changes, irrespective of the ULT config, the treble/highs sound the same. At balanced you might find it kind of bad, you might even feel it even a little more treble-ish in ULT 0, but I still like that (unless you got some crazy treble-ish ear piercing tracks, you won't have any issues) ULT 1, balanced, perfect V. Right amount of (High lows), right amount of (High highs). (Overall 4.3/5) Design is very good but I'm pretty scared if it would break at the hinges. (Very good so far and the case given is rugged) Battery backup. I didn't even care much about it, just plug it in, it'll be good for 4-5 days (with noise cancellation on) I love the noise cancellation off gesture aswell, all you need to do is to touch the right of your device with 2 fingers and it moves to transparency. I found it useful in railways where the announcement is perfectly audible through that. Overall: (4.8/5). It doesn't look flagship-like, because it's not one. But performs very close to one. It's still unique and a lovely piece of audio gadget. Recommended? Yes!
The best bass you can get out of a headphone, have tried other headphones as well compared to the skullcandy crusher evo i just love the ULT, the anc in ULT is also good not the best but if play the song with both ult 2 mode and anc mode you will get the maximum capability of the headphones. And the bass doesnt come from vibrator or something of kind unlike the skullcandy crusher. But this ones really got classy and great bass. Dont feel any distortion in sound quality and for large ears these fit easily and cannot describe the affection i have created within few hours of playing music with these. Sony always the best brand for speakers and headphones fr. Dont compare with XM4s its been 3 years since its release and this ones got v1 chip with it so LFG. Purely for a bass lover ULT2 mode is Badass
I’ve been using the Sony ULT WEAR for a while now, and I’m genuinely impressed. The sound quality is rich, with deep, punchy bass thanks to the ULT mode, while vocals and instruments remain clear. The active noise cancellation does a great job of blocking out background noise, making it perfect for commuting, work, or travel. The comfort is another highlight—the ear cushions are soft, and I can wear them for hours without discomfort. Battery life is excellent, easily lasting through multiple days of regular use. The build quality feels premium, and the physical controls are intuitive and responsive. Overall, if you’re looking for headphones with powerful bass, premium comfort, long battery life, and solid noise cancellation, the Sony ULT WEAR is an excellent choice. Highly recommended. ★★★★★ (5/5)
Using the Sony Ult Wear for approx a week and I’m sure that this is a good purchase. Got this in sale for 11.2k and this is definitely worth the money. The ult base mode is good and have the shaking effect which we can feel. The anc and amb mode are great especially the part where we hold the right ear cup to activate amb for temporarily to talk with someone is really great to use. The built in audio equaliser presets are also nice and useful. To sum it up this is really worth in this price range.
